Pre-Construction
The process of pre-construction not only marks the beginning of our partnership but also helps us understand exactly what you want. We will listen and ask questions as we think and rethink details of your project. That’s good. The more issues we discuss at the beginning of your project, the better it will turn out. Good communication at this stage is fundamental to a successful project outcome.
We begin with an overall conceptual cost assessment for the project and then follow through with an analysis of procurement, timing, labor and materials for every phase of the work. We also will do a schedule of the project and review any logistical challenges we see at that early juncture, including and environmental or site considerations we need to address. Our goal here is to provide experiential knowledge that will eliminate false design starts and material choices that will compromise success. True team integration at this stage should eliminate the dreaded value engineering approach that has been part of the industry for so many years.
Pre-construction is the place where we can build and rebuild the project on paper without added cost so that we have a plan that in the end is the most cost effective solution for the project. Fixing problem at this stage in the process have the biggest effect on cost and schedule later.
