Community
Our roots go deep into the Massachusetts community. Our founder, Robert Lee Whipple, was a direct descendant of Captain John Whipple, who came to Boston from England in 1631. Whipple set our standard for community involvement through his volunteer and charitable work.
Our staff remains committed to giving back to the community that has supported Whipple for generations. We regularly perform pro bono work advising on the acquisition, management, preservation and maintenance of buildings for many organizations, including the United Way of Central Massachusetts, Preservation Worcester, Community Healthlink, Jeremiah’s Hospice, the Devereux Foundation, the YWCA of Worcester, the Worcester EcoTarium, the American Legion and the Korean War Memorial. We are deeply committed in our communities, serving on boards, coaching youth sports and participating in various service clubs. Our staff advises and assists many religious organizations with their physical plant and building issues.
